No. 4

Pictures taken by Emily Ducharme

Hello again!

It's finally beginning to get colder. I love a chill in the air because it gives me an excuse to wear layers.

For this post I'm wearing my favorite outfit. It's a combination of my most treasured pieces. The sweatshirt was given to me by a friend for my birthday two years ago and I think I've worn it hundreds of times since then. The shirt is great because it looks just as good peaking out from beneath a sweater or sweatshirt as it does alone. It has short sleeves so it's great for those fall days that are on the warmer side. The black skirt is a basic piece, but it ties the look together. The denim jacket is from the men's section, so it has that great over-sized look.

I think because I went to a Catholic elementary school I constantly gravitate towards anything uniform-esque. (Although, at the time, I hated my uniform; it was pretty horrible.)

Because of the black skirt and white, collared shirt, the outfit has an almost uniform look to it. The color palette is dark and neutral. However, the cat face on the sweatshirt, the denim jacket, and the boots give the look a unique twist, something that is decidedly un-uniform-like.

Hello!

I am finally posting again! Sorry about the long period of time in between this post and the last. I am going to try to post more regularly after this.

It's my favorite time of year- autumn! I went apple picking with my sister and we thought the orchard would be a great place to take pictures for my blog. I also took pictures with the camera I'm wearing around my neck; it's not just there for decoration!

I wore a lot of layers, but it was a little warmer than I thought it would be so I took some off. That's actually a black dress, not a skirt. If I'm not tucking in my shirt, I like to wear a dress instead of skirt because it defines my waist better. The army jacket is lightweight, perfect for fall, and with the boots adds a little edge. The socks are a simple detail that pulls it all together by echoing the blue of the shirt and the greens of the jacket.

Here is where you can find what I'm wearing (or similar):

No. 2

Ta da! Post number 2!

This is one of my favorite dresses. I love the fit-and-flare shape, and the cut-out back really brings it all together. I hadn't worn it for a while because it had a small hole, but I decided to pull it out again.

My Vans are pretty beat up. I've had those things since eighth grade. We've been through a lot together- and it shows.

The red bag is my favorite (and only) bag. It's simple, but I love the bright shade of red.

Unfortunately I can't seem to find a similar dress or bag anywhere, but here is where you can find the other stuff:

P.S. My glasses are prescription, and my parents bought them.I wasn't lying about not having money.

No. 1

Photos taken by my sister Emily Ducharme

There it is.
My first blog post.

I'm starting things off with a simple outfit. I paired this red floral dress with my big black boots. I kept my makeup fairly simple- just some dark lipstick that matches my dress.

I don't have too much money at the moment so for a few posts I'll be showing you some of my favorite tried-and-true outfits.

I'm really excited to put this out into the internet world. I'm not big on writing, so bear with me.

I hope you enjoy checking out my style.
